Bio-Sailing course for children

An excellent opportunity for kids to discover the marine eco-system and become familiar with the secrets of sailing. Appropriate for ages ___ to ___.

An opportunity to learn not only how to sail a sailboat, but also how to make it go strong and manage an entire crew for a cohesive and efficient performance. This boat trip offers insights also into marine life and the characteristics of the Mediterranean Sea surrounding Malta. This course is conducted by an expert skipper and qualified marine biologist.

Course objectives:

• Know the sea and the atmospheric agents that influence it (meteorology, wind force, tides, waves, currents, etc)
• Learn all basic marine terminology and the main knots used in sailing
• Learn to take on roles and responsibilities and collaborate with your team
• Understand and plot marine routes
• Learn how to spot marine life, collect data and recognize the different species present in Maltese water

This activity also includes 2 swimming stops in picturesques bays around Malta, and a lunch break with nibbles, fresh fruit and water.
